Brick Marker on Hillcrest Street Gets a Makeover

New solar lighting illuminates the neighborhood marker on Hillcrest and East Tennessee Street.

The brick marker with the green and white Old Town sign was installed around 22 years ago and has represented our neighborhood well. Due to aging over the years, it was due for a major overhaul! Enter the OTNA Beautification Committee.

Neighbor Ben Heinzinger removed the worn sign and restored the brick to its former glory with a good pressure washing.

A new sign was affixed, the landscaping around the market was weeded and spruced up, and solar lighting was installed – and now it looks great during the day and shines bright at night.

As you turn onto Hillcrest from Tennessee Street, keep an eye out for it. Thank you for your continued support, which made this project possible!
